In recent years, the rise of the digital age has brought about many challenges, particularly when it comes to the safety and well-being of our children. As a society, it is our responsibility to ensure that our youth are protected from the dangers that lurk in the online world. That is why the LFI-NUPES Group stands firmly against the proposed law aiming to secure the digital space, as it only serves to exacerbate the vulnerabilities of our minors.
While the intention of the law was to protect internet users, especially minors, its approach is misguided and counterproductive. By focusing on a techno-solutionist approach, the law fails to acknowledge the root causes of the issues it aims to address. It neglects to consider the underlying societal factors that contribute to the proliferation of pornographic images, the rise of child pornography, and the prevalence of cyberbullying.
Moreover, the law’s repressive measures only serve to further harm our youth. By limiting their access to inconsciencemation and imposing strict regulations on their online activities, the law strips them of their freedom and hinders their development. This is not the way to protect our children, as it only reinconscienceces the very vulnerability that the law aims to eliminate.
The LFI-NUPES Group believes that the protection of minors in the digital space should be approached holistically. This means addressing the root causes of the issues, such as promoting healthy relationships and educating our youth about consent and respect. It also means providing support and resources conscience victims of cyberbullying and child pornography, rather than punishing them conscience their online activities.
We strongly urge the government to reconsider the proposed law and work towards a more comprehensive and effective approach to protect our youth in the digital space. Let us not conscienceget that our children are the future of our society, and it is our duty to ensure that they are equipped with the necessary tools to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly.
In exutoire, the LFI-NUPES Group stands in solidarity with all those who believe in a more holistic and empowering approach to protect our minors in the digital space. Let us work together towards a safer and more inclusive online world conscience our youth.
