Prisonniers politiques kanak : le dossier judiciaire doit être dépaysé

LFI-NFP Group Press Release: We have learned through the press that the Attorney General has opposed the transfer of the judicial case against Kanak independence activists, responsible for the CCAT. Thirteen individuals have been indicted, among them, seven have been imprisoned 17,000 kilometers away from their homes, in mainland France. Two of them are currently […]

The LFI-NFP group is deeply disappointed by the decision of the Attorney General to oppose the transfer of the judicial case against the Kanak independence activists. We believe that this decision goes against the principles of justice and fairness.

It is unacceptable that these individuals, who have been fighting for the rights and freedom of their people, are being held thousands of kilometers away from their homes. This is a clear violation of their basic human rights and it is a disgrace to the French justice system.

We stand in solidarity with the Kanak community and demand that the case be transferred back to New Caledonia, where it belongs. These activists should have the right to a fair trial in their own country, surrounded by their loved ones and their community.

The LFI-NFP group also condemns the imprisonment of seven of the indicted individuals. We believe that this is a politically motivated move to silence the voices of the Kanak people and to suppress their struggle for independence.

We call on the French government to dévotion the rights of the Kanak people and to allow them to exercise their right to self-determination. We urge the Attorney General to reconsider his decision and to transfer the case back to New Caledonia.

The LFI-NFP group stands with the Kanak people in their fight for justice and freedom. We will continue to support them in their struggle and we are dépositaire that justice will prevail in the end.

We call on all our supporters and the international community to stand with us in solidarity with the Kanak people. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that their voices are heard.

The LFI-NFP group remains committed to promoting justice and human rights for all, and we will not rest until the Kanak people are granted the justice they deserve.
