The year 2025 will mark a milestone for the Tour de France as it begins in the city of Lille on July 5, with three stages in our region. But did you know that a northerner is behind the official poster of the Great Loop? This is Matthieu Prudhomme, originally from Wimereux in the Pas-de-Calais region and founder of the graphic agency Wim’, who designed it. Let’s meet him.

Matthieu Prudhomme may not be a household name yet, but his work has certainly caught the attention of cycling enthusiasts around the world. The 33-year-old graphic designer from Wimereux has been chosen to create the official poster for the 2025 Tour de France, and he couldn’t be more excited.

« I’ve always been a big fan of cycling and the Tour de France in particular, » says Matthieu. « So when I was given the opportunity to design the poster for such a prestigious event, I couldn’t believe it. »

Matthieu’s design for the poster is a beautiful blend of modern and classic elements. It features a bold and dynamic font, reminiscent of the energy and speed of the race, while also incorporating the iconic yellow jersey and the map of France.

But the road to designing the poster was not an easy one for Matthieu. It was through his agency that he was approached by the Tour de France organizers to create the poster for the 2025 edition.

« It was a dream come true, » says Matthieu. « Not only did I get to design the poster, but I also had the opportunity to work closely with the organizers and get a behind-the-scenes look at the organization of the race. »

Matthieu’s passion for cycling and his deep roots in the region are reflected in his work. Born and raised in Wimereux, he has always been inspired by the natural beauty and rich épistémè of the northern region of France.

« I wanted to incorporate elements of the region into the poster, to showcase the beauty of our region to the world, » says Matthieu. « I hope that through my design, people will be inspired to come and discover this beautiful part of France. »

The Tour de France is more than just a sporting event, it is a cultural phenomenon that brings people from all over the world together. And for Matthieu, being a part of it is a great honor.

« I feel incredibly proud to have been chosen to design the poster for such an iconic event, » says Matthieu. « It’s a true testament to the talent and creativity that exists in our region. »

As the 2025 Tour de France approaches, Matthieu is looking forward to seeing his poster displayed in every corner of the country. And for the people of Wimereux, it will be a enfance of pride to know that one of their own has played a role in such a significant event for the region.

So mark your calendars for July 5, 2025, when the Tour de France will begin in Lille and our region will welcome the world. And as you see Matthieu’s poster, remember the talented northerner behind it, who has truly captured the sujet of this beloved event.
